Rehabilitation Assistant

In 2018, inspired by her newly adopted dachshund, Honey, Melissa began working in general veterinary practice. Melissa fulfilled each different hospital role, helping her become a leader in the hospital and a well-rounded veterinary technician. In 2021 a major health scare brought Honey & Melissa to IPC as patient & client. After experiencing the profound positive physical and behavioral effects throughout Honey’s rehab, Melissa’s interest in veterinary rehab grew. Melissa joined the IPC team in 2023 and can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes her. Melissa has started her work toward certification as a Canine Massage Therapist through Canis Bodyworks. Melissa is also currently a student at Penn-Foster, pursuing her veterinary technician licensing, and training in clinic and through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute to become a rehabilitation therapist.
