The team at IPC is now offering telemedicine appointments!
IPC will continue providing curbside drop-off appointments for your pets. We are now also offering telemedicine appointments for both existing patients and for new patient evaluations starting Wednesday, April 1st.
For existing patients, our therapists and doctors will be available via Zoom to discuss homecare, review home exercises and massage, observe gaiting, discuss ways to keep your pet engaged and help you determine if your pet has an issue that needs to be addressed at a hospital or clinic. Note: This is not intended to replace emergency care.
For new patients we are now offering a combination of telemedicine and hands-on evaluation of your pet. Prior to the consultation we will ask you to fill out a questionnaire and send in gaiting videos of your pet. The initial consultation starts with a 30-minute Zoom telemedicine appointment entirely from the comfort of your home. During this appointment an IPC veterinarian will review history, medications and therapy goals, as well as provide an analysis of the gaiting videos that were submitted.
Next, you will bring your pet to IPC for a scheduled in-clinic appointment. You will not be present for this appointment as we are currently providing curb-side drop-off services. In that appointment an IPC veterinarian and therapist will perform a physical exam, as well as a first therapy appointment appropriate for your pet.
We will then prescribe a treatment program for your pet that will lay out specific recommendations for rehab therapies, medications and any home care changes.
If you are interested in scheduling a telemedicine appointment for your pet, please contact us first via email at email@example.com and we will aid you with setting up Zoom, directing you to the right therapist/doctor, and scheduling an appointment time.
